Sourcing Specialist [Heavy Equipment Rental]
Job Summary:
The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and negotiating competitive cost solutions within assigned Heavy Equipment’s Rental division, to support RFQs (Request for Quotes) and customer requirements. The role involves collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure that products meet technical specifications and deliver the best value to our client ALBALADIN Contracting Co. You will also manage supplier relationships and contribute to the overall procurement strategy for our operations in KSA.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Negotiation:
- Source and negotiate competitive cost solutions within designated product categories to support customer RFQs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to confirm customer applications, downstream product touchpoints, and determine accurate technical specifications.
Supplier Collaboration:
- Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with both Preferred and non-Preferred suppliers to meet the technical needs of the requests.
- Research and source new suppliers when necessary to ensure product requirements are met.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Product Knowledge & Alternatives:
- Utilize deep product knowledge to offer alternative product solutions or recommendations to the sales team.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market indices, and supplier innovations to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Customer Engagement & Communication:
- Respond professionally to field requests and customer inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
- Collaborate with Inventory Management, Data Management, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on procurement and inventory needs.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
- Comply with daily performance metrics in managing sourcing activity.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on procurement activities, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements:
Education:
- College degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of work experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management, preferably within Heavy Equipment Rental Management industries in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, and supplier management is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Windows-based software.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Intermediate data analysis skills to evaluate pricing, supply chain performance, and supplier capabilities.
Additional Skills:
- Experience working with ERP systems, contract management, CRM systems, and project management tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, market trends, and supplier negotiations in KSA.
