  1. Implements inspection activities in accordance with the QC Plan and Inspection / Test Procedures.
  2. Maintains a record of job specification and/or acceptance criteria of the items they cover for inspection.
  3. Arrange all mechanical testing in the Lab including witness of client and certified agency..
  4. Maintains approved QC Checklist forms to be used during inspection.

Overview / Responsibilities:

PetroTalent is currently looking for a S3D / PDS Administrator to further increase the capacity and knowledge base of the well-established Mechanical department.

This will give you the opportunity to work on a wide range of EPC Client’s projects.

  • Setting up PDS/S3D projects and software on server and user PCs.
  •  Mainly responsible for “Technical Support” for all projects as admin.
  • Acts directly under Department manager for assurance of technical capability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practice and new developments in the industry related to their respective area(s) of expertise.
  • Inform the DTA (Dept Technical Authority) of significant technical questions and proposed solutions with the intent of maintaining a record of questions and solutions. Questions and proposed solutions shall, as deemed appropriate by the DM and DTA, be shared with the Department.
  • Contribute to discipline Body of Knowledge in their respective area(s) of expertise.SME must support annual Business Plan of the company/department.
  • Weekly Department objectives Tracker must be reviewed to see set targets and take action to accomplish
    assigned activities.
  • If the SME becomes aware of a challenging technical issue in their area of expertise on any project, bring that issue to the attention of the SME and the Discipline Lead for the concerned project.
  • Senior Lead can assign SME to work on a project as well.

Skills / Qualifications: Essential Skills:

  •  PDS: Project setup, archival/retrieval, work automation through SQL/RIS, Material specs setup and MTO reporting, PD_Ortho / Isogen setup and drawing generation, 3D Modelling, Framework and Raceway setup, Training others,Error resolution. Estimation for administration hours. Sever/Client software installation.
  • Workshare. Loading licenses.Preference: EDEN programming.S3D: Project setup, archival/retrieval, Material specs setup and MTO reporting, 2D Drawing setup and generation,3D Modelling, Setup for structural and electrical/instrumentation modeling, Training others, Error resolution.Estimation for administration hours. Sever/Client software installation. Workshare. Loading licenses. Preference:SmartPlant Foundation, Symbol creation, C#, VB
  • Oracle and MS SQL Express installation, setup, user creation, schemas knowledge
  • Generate model review files in SmartPlant Review and Navisworks.
  • Customize colors, display sets. Generate tag reports. Clash check reports. Animations.
  • Experience of using CloudWorx or LFM to setup laser scanning data and setting up with PDS / S3D
  • 7 years minimum experience of using 3D software as modeler or administrator.
  • 3 projects (at least 2 Detail design) at minimum executed as Administrator.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering discipline.
  • Saudi Aramco Standards knowledge. Preferred Skills:
  • Mapping Tekla structural members to PDS/S3D for import/export
  • Recommended knowledge of SPP&ID project creation, Archival/Retreival, Satellitle link, Symbol creation, Aramco EK&RD Procedures
  • Have knowledge of Microstation, menu customization.Preference: AutoCAD usage • SPEL And SPI support as admin
